Who We Are
Mission: To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Vision: The Miami Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America will prepare youth to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
What We Do
The Scouts Troop 586 teaches leadership, citizenship, and self respect. Troop 586 strives to provide many opportunities for the scouts to learn new skills while enjoying their experience in Scouting. This troop is open to Boys and Girls in 5th grade to 11th grade.
Examples of activities include the following:
- Camping
- First Aid
- Cooking
- Hiking/Backpacking
- Fishing
- Team building
